Complete Mission Statement
Relate - One of the primary
purposes of the body of Christ is to fellowship with one another in
koinonia; an
intimate communion of believers. People who visit our church should experience
an overwhelming atmosphere of acceptance. If they are looking for a place to
belong, they should feel that Rock Rio is a refuge of safety. Rock Rio is a
gathering of authentic, loving, transparent, and unpretentious people that all
fall short of the mark but, are always advancing toward the high calling of
Christ. Hebrews 10:24-25, James 5:16, 1 Peter 3:8-9, John 15:12, Ecc 4:9-12,
Amos 3:3
Restore - Everyone has to some degree and to some level, an area within
their soul that has been damaged. We all have had some dashed expectation, some
personal
perception of flaw, some unpleasant memory, some regretful social
interaction or some unwanted break in relationship that has not been fully
healed or reconciled to Christ. Our job at Rock Rio is to restore those in our
oikos; or sphere of influence, to spiritual, emotional, and physical health
through love, friendship, scriptural instruction, mentoring and accountability.

Ready - Each person called by God has a special mission in life that God
expects them to fulfill. Every Christian has access to special gifts and Holy
Spirit empowerment to accomplish that task. Most Christians have not realized
they can, have not been inspired to want to, are never encouraged to, or given
the tools to help them step boldly into the higher levels of a new Life in
Christ. Rock Rio's third goal is to katartizo; or equip our saints to succeed in
their higher calling.

Release - The greatest joy of
parents is to see their children establishing the family vision for a new
generation in the place where they have been planted. As spiritual parents we
too are joyous when our spiritual children take ownership of what we have
carefully imparted and influence others to walk accordingly. We are in a war and
as soldiers we all have a spiritual mission. Rock Rio will not stifle, but
rather encourage God's children to effectively accomplish all of the work our
Father has apostelloed; or arranged for them to do.
